Grace Fellowship Distinctives

At Grace Fellowship we worship God through the Word of God.  We hold a high view of God and His Word, the Bible, and are committed to the Solas of the Reformation: Scripture alone, Christ alone, faith alone, grace alone, to the glory of God alone. We enjoy respectful worship and the process of God's transforming work in the lives of believers.

At Grace Fellowship we teach the gospel that Jesus proclaimed, that is a call to discipleship and a call to follow him in submissive obedience. Not just a plea to make a decision or pray a prayer.

In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus said: "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14)

At Grace Fellowship we emphasize solid expository Biblical preaching where the meaning of the Bible passage is presented entirely and exactly as it was intended by God.

John MacArthur:  “The only logical response to inerrant Scripture . . . is to preach it expositionally."

J.I. Packer: “A sermon is the proclamation of the Word of God only if the text of the Word is accurately expounded and preached. So, in the strictest sense of the term, authentic preaching is expository preaching.”

David Helm: “Expositional preaching is empowered preaching that rightfully submits the shape and emphasis of the sermon to the shape and emphasis of a biblical text.”

                                Statement of Faith

First:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

Second:

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Third:

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

Fourth:

We believe that the salvation of man who is sinful and lost is only by the New Birth or regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

Fifth:

We believe in the Spirit-filled life, the believer fully consecrated is indwelt by the Holy Spirit whereby one is able to witness with power to the saving of souls.

Sixth:

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; they who are saved unto the resurrection of life and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Seventh:

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
